Well, this question may sound dumb to some folks but I am really confused here.
I was reading this article about Photographing Stars Using a Kit Lens
where author talks about keeping widest aperture open i.e. f3.5
. But as per my knowledge wide aperture means smaller area will be in focus and here we have to capture whole sky so ideally it should be f16
or f22
.
I tried f3.5
and it worked as charm.
So, can anybody please put a light on this ? What exactly is going on here ?
